Rules of Promotion

Here is some very important Information.  At the beginning and end of each school year many students ask if they will be promoted to the next grade.  This is the formula:

  • 9th Graders must have earned 5 credits to move up to 10th grade status.

  • 10th Graders must earn 11 credits to be promoted to 11th grade status.

  • 11th Graders must earn 17credits to gain senior status!

Only Juniors may move up a grade during the school year.  This move will take place only after the first semester grades are input into the system.

Transcript Request Form

Your high school transcript, which shows your high school grades, classes and most current GPA, will most likely be the first piece of information a college admissions officer will review.  This complete record provides concrete evidence of whether you are prepared to attend a particular college or not.

Your high school transcript may also be requested by organizations who offer scholarships.

Submit this completed form to the school's Registrar to obtain a copy your transcript.  Make sure that you read the directions carefully so you recieive the kind of copy required.  Be sure that you submit it ahead of time so there is time to process it.

Request For Student Class Change

Use this form to switch from one class into another, but keep in mind that these changes should be done no later than the first few weeks of the class. Students who were force registered will not be allowed to change classes.

Students need to gather their teacher signatures for this form during recess periods only.  Do NOT disturb classes to obtain signatures.  Requested course changes MUST be approved by all parties.  Requests may be denied due to limitations of class size and availability at our small school.  First priority for class changes will be those required for successful completion of graduation requirements. Student can attend their new class/classes only after they receive a copy of their new printed schedule.

Your Senior year can come at you so fast that you won't know what hit you.  To lessen the challenges and worrisome surprises, create a calendar or use your school planner to map out your senior year.  Go over this entire list and mark your planner ahead of time. Stay ahead of the game by keeping up with college admissions deadlines, scholarships, test dates, financial aid deadlines, senior obligations and more. Some dates vary from year to year so they have been left blank. Test dates are readily available online.  Check with your senior advisor, registrar or counselor for other dates.
